Hi
The reason why we are going from IMAGE to Oracle is only because we are
reprogramming our programs into JAVA and for a period of time we have to
run two systems side by side using the same databases (Oracle) until we are
done.

Attention is drawn to discussion in this list two weeks ago, about Oracle
on
3000. Oracle has decided not to support its database on 3000, starting from
end of this year. In this context, do you really want to migrate from IMAGE
to
Oracle. May we know of technical reasons (there may be business reasons),
if
any for this. If the reason is just to move to a RDBMS, please have a
relook
at relational acces to IMAGE through IMAGE/SQl.
