We currently have a 918 and have no plans to move off
of the 3000 platform. However, we would like to
upgrade to a faster machine, such as an A400 or 9X9
box. We are currently looking for someone to spec out
a system for us. The spec needs to be more than just
a sales quote. We need someone who can put together a
system that will work the way we want it to - we need
to have a fault-tolerant, 24 x 7 system, with data
redundancy and zero-down-time backup.

For the data redundancy, I would prefer a hardware
solution (RAID) as opposed to a software solution
(NetBase). Zero-down-time backup could be either.

This is contract job (that is, we are willing to pay
for your expertise); however, if you are a hardware
vendor be advised that we will be sourcing the
hardware to the lowest cost bidder. The lucky person
will need to be available to come on-site and get the
system up and running. We can handle converting from
one system to the other, but we want a stable system
first. We will also want references to verify that
you can walk the walk and not just talk the talk.

Any questions or clarification, please contact me.
