Just last week we experienced our SECOND disk drive
failure. The first one was back in January 95. In both
cases we had to reload the system. Both disk drives were
the HP C3010 model. The drive that failed last week we ve
had for about three years and the one that failed back in
January 95 we installed in November 94. The only thing the
two drives had in common is they were in the same SCSI
storage system unit.

I asked our HP CE to look into whether or not there was a
problem with the HP C3010 disk drive and he reported that
there was not.

One good thing (if you can call it that) that has come out
of all of this is we ve now started IMAGE logging to tape.
