Dumping ROMs would probably be good to do and may even come in handy. I’ve never tried to reverse-engineer a micromachine from its microcode ROM dump but I think it’s been done.
I get the idea the RASS has a bunch of registers in it, some for its own use (address bounds tests) and some that can be fed to the ALU in the RALU chip. Not sure how data flows between them though.
