I found these interesting. They politely asked me to feel free to pass this
information on - I read and obey, and they thank me for my participation.
It's good to read that the HP 3000 has the open operating system MPE/iX. 

Now, if there were some way to get MPE/iX to get some of the free press and
mindshare that Linux is getting (is any other open source software getting
this much attention, which does not directly compete with a Microsoft
offering?), well, that would be interesting, and quite the story. 'OS enjoys
renewed industry attention'...

able to find another address for the first article, but a search of the HP
site failed to turn these up!
