SCSI cabling can be as long as 25 meters. With that much slack you can
probably put your backup devices outside of your secure area.

Currently we have a system which is in a room which we can get daily
physical access to change the tape in the tape drive.  We wish to move the
system to a room which is secured to the point that physical access is
discouraged.

What options do we have to backup our system to a remote device?
