Brice,

when did I ever mention cut and run?
I would like to see that GWB takes responsibility for this mess and then
asks Dick to step down and does the same.

Now we can only train the Iraqis and give our soldiers the
weapons/protection they need. They still lack body-armor and armored
vehicles. After 3 years and 400 billion.
Then tell the Iraqis that this isn't an open end and neither a continous
money-flow.
You might know that people in general are lazy, therefore as long as the
US
pays for everything, they won't hurry to fix the problems themselves.
sounds familiar? currently we support a kinda socialist strategie.
We pay pay pay without any limits and any dead-line.
Guess what. why hurry? why fix problems?

If that doesn't work within 12-18 months, then nothing will and it is time
to leave.
How about that as a cut and run instead of stay-the-course no matter what?

-----------------------

Not the worst thing I have ever heard you say. As far as hurrying up the
Iraqis on taking control of their country, that is easier said than done.
It took something like 7 years to do that after the American Revolution,
and we did not have neighbors who were doing everything they could to
destabilize the country. I would like to hear more specifics on what
you would do to get things straightened out in 18 months?

And I have not heard from Mr Bowden, maybe he is afraid of being 'sucked
in'.
