To Anyone who Cares:
 
I just bought abother load of USR Sportster V.34 modems and discovered
that they can now run at 33.6K baud.  An upgrade is available for
older V.34 models.  The information is available on the Internet at
WWW.USR.COM.  This new speed is apparently the next extension to V.34
and is just waiting for approval.  We'll see!
