Paul Christensen <[log in to unmask]> writes about tier pricing
and an example of a small site not wanting to pay the
'one price fits all' non-tiered cost for our software.

We've seen this situation before, and our response is to offer a 2-user
license of Qedit for about a quarter of the regular price.

Each vendor has to come to terms with how they price their goods. Their
customers (or lack of them) will be the ones to determine how successful
their policies are. I really can't see HP exerting any pressure on vendors.
HP doesn't have that kind of power and it's so, dare I say, un-american.
