All replies so far indicate performance problems using a 100 MB card on a
918 and possibly a 928. (While still agreeing $1800 price tag for driver is
obscene).

However, there are other computers on this network. For these computers:
1) Support for 10MB is becoming problematic.
2) Those other computers would benefit from 100MB network.

So is the only choice to install a 10MB to 100MB switch/bridge?

Will this not also cause performance problems?

Other possibilities / recommendations?

If 10MB<>100MB switch is only choice, do any of you have recommendations on
type, brand, etc.?

Thank you,
- Tim Atwood
