you might want to really check on the status of your Outlook server. ours
bounces itself all the time, but sometimes it just thuds. Most people don't
notice it, as their mail volume is relatively low. Just last week the poor
thing crashed and wasn't restored for 1.5 days, but fortunately the user
base was notified - via email.
