It has been recommended that we use ODBC as our database connectivity as
opposed to the Allbase API (this comes from HP & Powersoft). However we
have noticed when we use the Allbase API the connection occur via one log
on (the HPDARPA job) and when we use ODBC every connection logs on as
it's own job. We would like the benefits of the ODBC connection but
having that many connections is a problem in our environment. Does anyone
know if ODBC connections can be routed through one thread? Are we doing
something wrong?
