There is another one making it's rounds at work today. (Open a message with
"win a Holiday" and it will erase
your hard drive). So I went back into my archives of mail messages on this
list to find the internet address of where to look up these urban myths.

So I went to kumite.com/myths and found under new hoaxes; "Win A Holiday",
which pointed to
www.stiller.com/holiday.htm. And I also found that from there you can
find information about
the "gullibility virus" - www.stiller.com/gull.htm which is a humorous
but sarcastic bit of information.

But interestingly enough after exploring several different sites, I found
one person who, as I read it;
believes the Y2K problem is also a hoax. So I guess you guys can make
those RUG meetings
after all!!

But then again, one of these sites I had looked at early, also had lutefisk
listed under Urban Legends.
And being a Minnesotan, let me asure you, that while lutefisk might be a
laughing matter, it is no joke.
If you don't believe me, you can come to my in-laws for Christmas Eve
supper!

So, maybe you shouldn't give up on that Y2K project just yet. Just in case
it doesn't turn out to be a hoax.
