HP World 2001 - Chicago - August 20/24

Once again, it is that time of the year to join together and praise HP.  In
Chicago this year, it will be the first conference for Horner Consulting.
 We will be walking the halls, expo areas, and even taking in a few talks.
 Don't be shy, come up and say "HI".  Remember it's all in the hat.


Announcements at HP World

Horner Consulting is proud to announce, at HP World, the creation of the
console message sending process called LOGSENDR.  You thought LOGREADR was
cool, just wait until you see this.  LOGSENDR reads your system log files
and sends the console messages to our old friend, SYSLOG.  Depending on how
you configure SYSLOG, remote systems can tell you what is happening,
messages can be sent to a special session, or trap console messages for
later auditing.  A release date is coming soon.  We are asking that if
anyone would like to help beta test LOGSENDR, send us an E-mail.


New Stuff On The Web Site

We have added a few new things to our web site.

* The Robelle Daily Tips Column and
* More freeware so that you can get EXTREME with your MPE.

One piece of freeware, we'd like to highlight is called DBWASTE.  DBWASTE
uses the file that HOWMESSY creates.  HOWMESSY is another piece of freeware
from ROBELLE and ADAGER.  DBWASTE reads this file and produces a web page.

Check out the freeware section for an example the web page, and a sample of
the job that created the page.
