Is it possible that the list or newsgroup recently got onto a list of some
sort and most of this SPAM is coming from a single source that we could get
it removed from?

Just a thought,
        Jon

Subject: Re: [HP3000-L] OT: Spam on HP3000-l

As far as I know there has never been a block on non-subscriber posts. I
used to post as a non-subscriber back in 1996 and am doing so again now. I
can read the postings a the raven.utc website a few minutes after they are
posted.

I think that there are many non-subscribers that may need to make occasional
posts. It would be a shame to take that ability away from them. I would
"vote" to leave everything alone. (Status Quo is not always bad no matter
what some executives say. ;^) )

When it comes to what to do about spam, Tracy Pierce is correct the delete
button was designed for just this function.
The opinions expressed herein are my own and not necessarily those of my
employer.
