inetd service is supported in 5.5 and greater, not in 5.0.

It's highly recommended to upgrade to 5.5 or 6.0 for Y2K anyhow so that you
shouldn't do any transposing effort (which will not work anyhow because of
the lack of services in 5.0 as Per already wrote).

Why is the file inetd.net.sys present in MPEix 5.5, but not in MPEix 5.0.
I believe I need this file to connect with telnet, can I transpose the
program from 5.5 to 5.0?
