For once I agree with you, Wirt; the CBS documents were obviously
forged.

It will be interesting to see if we ever get to the bottom of this
story. If I were the person who created those documents, I am pretty
sure that I do not want to be found. I think several laws were broken
here and the consequences could be pretty heavy for the perpetrator.

BTW, CBS revealed that their expert is a HANDWRITING analyst. This
person has an interesting website, which you might want to look at.

One of the complaints about the Bush documents is the quality of the
centering of various titles and the fact that such things couldn't be
done in the
1970's. One of the first algorithms I learned in high-school typing
class in 1962
was how to accurately center text easily and quickly:

Step 1. Fold a piece of paper shortwise and insert it into the
typewriter in order to locate the center of the page.

Step 2. Set a mechanical stop on the fold. Take the folded piece of
paper out of the carriage and dispose of it. (These first two steps only
have to
be done once, of course.)

Step 3. Insert a clean piece of paper. Tab to the center-of-page
stop.
Press the backspace key once for every two characters in the line that
you wish
to center.

Step 4. Type the line of text to be centered.

     Step 5. Voila.
