Depending on the printer 19.2k baud is sufficient. However I am also
interested in the same thing. An engineer at the Atlanta Response Center
said he new of someone who had installed a parallel interface in a 256x
printer, hooked it to a Jetdirect print server and suggested that it
worked. He also said it wasn't supported.
