Thanks for the info, this is just what we are trying to accomplish, as in your Class C example. The problem is that NMMGR overrides my IP address entry. For example I enter "C 010.001.001 001", and when I press Save Data, it switches to "A 010 001.001.001". I have found old documentation that indicates certain ranges were intended for certain classes (10 being Class A), but MPE seems to be holding us to that. The networking guys say there are ARP requests on the MPE server's local subnet looking for the mail server on the new subnet.

Ironically I just found out that the application intended to replace this email process is a couple of weeks from implementation, so we may just speed that up.
