I've an interesting delima. Received a tape from a competitor (to
convert there client data and update an Image data base withit). The
data is from an IBM mainframe and is a "dump" of thier data sets.

The individual data sets are variable in length, ebcdic, and contains
IBM Comp data. I was able to extract the data sets and convert them
to ASCII, but how do I deal the the IBM Comp data and variable
records?

It is very possible that we will be converting many prospective
clients from the IBM host system. I know of an other IS shop who
experienced the same problem and could not get as far as ASI in the
conversion.

Any help will be apreciated.
