Has the SA 1458 happened more than the one time? In my experience, this system abort can occur, as a one time fluke. I’ve suspected it being caused by mundane things, such as systems using telnet (running JINETD) for months or years without recycling the job.

When I first started running MPE, we choose to boot the system weekly, to prevent a mid-week crash. I am not suggesting that! But if your system had been running for over a year when the SA 1458 occurred, shame on you.

Note: I believe our friends at Allegro have a free utility called UPTIME that will tell you when the last prior boot occurred.

HAPPY NEW YEAR Everybody!
