Here's a problem I am having using Speedware, but have duplicated it using Query and even CI. I'll describe the problem using the CI scenario.

I'm logged in at the CI prompt.

create a remote session by :REMOTE HELLO ME,USER.ACCOUNT,GROUP;DSLINE=F=SYSTEMF

REMOTE SM
<shows remote session info>

run child CI by :CI<return>

:REMOTE SM

NO DEFAULT ENVIRONMENT SET BY A :DSLINE OR :REMOTE. (DSERR 623)
Could not use environment. (CIERR 5041)
Remote command error. (CIERR 5402)

<end of scenario>

Is there something I can do so that the child process can use the parent process's remote session?

Maybe some capability to set, or some parm when running the child?

It is not worth my while to start passing PIDs and the like around programatically.

Thanks for considering this problem.
