Howdy,

So we've got this nice brand new HP 90000. It has a nifty little
internal modem. It has a nifty internal modem that used to work.
Won't sync anymore. After rebooting and a bit of other mucking
about (I knew this was going to happen) we called the RC to
place a service call. Ah! Not so fast there Henry.

Seems that to reset (I knew this was going to happen) the nifty
internal modem ya gotta pitch everyone off the system, shutdown
HP-UX and then power down all 2,100 pounds of K460! I beg yer
pardon? Yeah, just shut it all down and power cycle the whole
shebang :-o

Whatever happend to a 25 cent switch on the modem panel?

Now I've got that outta my craw........do the newer HP 3000 9x9
boxes have the same sort of rig?

Jim (a bit torqued) Trudeau
