I had a C3010M1s fail after about 10 months of continuous operation and a
C2490AM fail after about 4 months. That's out of a total of 20 C3010M1s and
C2490AMs, some of which are about 27 months old now.

One of the really pernicious things is that the C3010M1 was embedded in the
SPU cabinet, and although it was a member of a non-business critical user
volume set, we couldn't bring the system up because we couldn't turn the
damned thing off. Had I been present (I was at IPROF at the time) I would
have disassembled the SPU sufficiently that I could have pulled the power
cord on the thing.

HP might think about providing a way of powering down a peripheral short of
ripping it out of the cabinet (whether the cabinet be the SPU or a Series
6000 peripheral sled)...
