Thank you one an all, especially Mark Bixby, Mark Klein, Charles Dean
and Tyler Allison for the help with Mod_Auth_External, VECHECKLOGON,
Apache recompiling, GNU C questions and all. I have finally gotten
things to work! Instead of using that pesky /etc/passwd type file and
having two different places to change userid/password information, I now
have Apache 1.2.5 running and it will authenticate against VeSoft's
Security/3000 package.
I will be writing something up about this, with a complete 'How To' and
'limitations' sections.
