That is an interesting article. It points to some CEOs who deflected
attention from themselves - becoming "plow horses" and quietly turning the
company around.

They mention that Carly has a Gulfstream IV jet - a luxury that neither Bill
nor Dave ever had.

They said (well, the author is Jim Collins) - that if Carly fails - which
seems likely - the inevitable statement will me made that because she was a
woman she couldn't take the pressure.

But he compares Carly with Katherine Graham, who really did turn the
Washington Post around and made it a powerhouse.

"Katie and Carly - One took a good company and made it great, the other has
taken a great company and made it good. One embodied the type of leadership
required for true greatness, the other has thus far shown the type of
leadership that erodes greatness.

"One saw the purpose of it all as far beyond herself; the other has acted as
if the supreme purpose is herself".
