With the 950/960/980 going off HP's support schedules in August, 2000, do they
have plans to continue 3rd party hardware support for another five years? I
will have a 980-200 available shortly if they want another of that vintage. :-}

Subject:  Re: [HP3000-L] Life Expectancy

I have a couple of clients running manufacturing companies with
several hundred employees on 10-year-old HP3000/960's, using
application code written in the late 1970's. One of them expects to
be running that same code when they upgrade to an HP3000 with
IA-64, maybe 5 years from now.
