Anyone know of a way to create a file that does not include the carriage return in a file?

We are using sendmail and we have Macintosh computers that our folks use. Mac files only end in the linefeed directive and not the CRLF. When we deliver mail the text files have every other line blank and it's due to the CR directive adding a blank line.

What I'm trying to figure out is how I can get the attachment in mail to be delivered with only the lf directive and can't seem to figure it out...

any one know of a way???
thanks, bob
