programmer's file editor!  with samba running on your 3000, all manner of
pc-based tools are available to you.  however, if you don't have samba working
(yet...it is 'yet', right?) take a look at 'utltraedit'
<http://www.ultraedit.com/>  if i'm remembering correctly, ultraedit uses ftp to
transfer files to/from servers.
