Right John..totally different architectures. I will assume Craig
meant a 929 was a crippled 979 which is close..

I know for a fact a 939 is a crippled 969 because the processor
boards are the same part number. The model string cripples it
in software.

Perhaps a 929 is also an even further crippled 969 but I don't think
it is a crippled 979 because they are totally different processors.
