I seem to recall that select()/HPSELECT is supposed to allow you to wait
on anything that IOWAIT can, plus the posix stuff (sockets), at least in
5.0. You're probably out of luck as far as AIFPORTS go, but do you really
need that extra little bit of speed that AIF Ports give you over MSG files
or AF_UNIX sockets? I've yet to find a case where the AIF verson of ports
was worth the trouble.
