High Availabilty on HP3000 !

We are running MPE/iX 5.5 on HP 3000/968 System. I want to use High
Availability on System volume Set.Our all the Disks (8 of them) are
configured in System volume Set. None of the disks are Data Sets.

Questions are :

1.      Can I use Mirror Disk/iX for System volume Set (HP says NO)

2.      Can I use AutoRAID and will MPE/iX boot from AutoRAID ?

Any suggestions will be welcome.
