Yes, available on earlier versions. Requires a patch on some earlier
versions. We are on 6.0 PP2. The patch you need to install on 6.0 is:

MPELX33B  UPS Monitor/iX support for PowerTrust II UPS, powerfail message
config

Works great. The powerfail messages only go the console now. (After updating
the config file, etc. as per the instructions of course).
