You should probably post this question to the Usenet newsgroup
comp.infosystems.www.servers.unix.

As a truly last resort, you could subscribe to new-httpd via
[log in to unmask]  This is the Apache developer list (i.e. not for wimps).
It can sometimes be a very high volume list a la HP3000-L.
