Hi all,

Per Michael Gueterman's good suggestion, here is the range of characters
(that I previously referred to as "printable") that MPE will consider to
be legal in a POSIX filename:

I'd simply state the range of ASCII values you intend on allowing.
Something like ASC(32) through ASC(126). This way people
know that the "unprintable" characters are really those from ASC(1)
through ASCI(31) and ASCI(127) and above.
----end------

ASC(32) is a space and ASC(126) is a tilda ('~').

thanks for your time,
Jeff Vance, CSY
