Never heard this one. We've been using 120M tapes in DDS-2 drives on
2 HP3000 systems, daily, for more than a year with no problems. (Yes,
we do restore from these tapes, frequently)

I recently had a technical support person from a backup software
company tell me not to use 120M tapes in our DDS-2 drive because
of wear and tear problems caused to the drive by the tapes!?!

Has anyone else heard anything like this?
