Judging from the traffic on the great ODBC debacle, I sniff an
opportunity here for Birket.
 
He should make his full ODBC offering available (on a web site?) to the
long suffering HP3000 community.
He could make it expire at, say, end February 1997.
We would all become "hooked" on the additional features, not to be found
in the HP offering, and would scrounge dollars from the 1997 budget for
the full product.
