Thanks, Mark for the confirmation.  I can disable Internet dialup for
Outlook Express, but, of course, that disables dialup for Internet Explorer.
:-(

So, as long as I remember to manually go to programs>accessories>dial-up
networking and manually dial the internet connection before starting IE, I
should be okay.

And this is still preferable to having to hit cancel everytime I get one of
those emails.
