Matches also have red tape. The suburban/rural areas around Chattanooga
unfortunately produce more methamphetamine than anywhere else in the
country. It is the moonshine of the 21st century. Labs are being
busted or blowing up by themselves almost weekly.

[Psudo]ephedrine, matches, lye, coleman fuel... IDs and quotas. They
practically have armed guards in Sam's Club. Just last week a
convenience clerk was arrested for selling "more than a quota" of some
OTC "energy" pills to an undercover officer. Authorities have sponsored
informational seminars for property owners about screening and
monitoring prospective renters for meth production. And even as crazy
as things have become, the insanity hasn't abated at all.

So yes, hood ornaments are laughable. Matches and medications with
[pseudo]ephedrine in them aren't a laughing matter around here.
