Scott,
use !HPYYYY and use only the last two positions, like
[44] XEBHH2:setvar x rht("!HPYYYY",2)+"/!HPMONTH/!HPDATE"
[45] XEBHH2:echo !x
99/10/5
If you need leading Zeros as well you will use s.th. like
setvar y rht("0"+"!HPMONTH",2)
09

Subject: !HPYEAR
To the people of the list,
Okay, so I was doing a final bit of Y2K testing last week and had the !HPYEAR
variable in a jobstream that renames some files. I realize that HPDATE variables
drop any leading zeros but did not expect this for the year.
Poor assumption on my part.
Example: !HPMONTH!HPDATE!HPYEAR used on 01/01/99 returns 1199.
When I used this format with a system date of 01/01/00 and 01/01/01 the
variables returned 110 and 111 respectively. Somewhat confusing at first glance.
Anyone have any thoughts or comments.
Should I have any concerns?
Were running iX ver 60
TIA for the input.
