I received a couple of phone calls asking for more details about what we'll
be presenting in 5/22 webcast. Here are a few specifics: 1) We'll start
with a *brief* overview of what HP had to say at the solution symposium. 2)
We'll look ways port e3000 applications to other platforms *quickly* (e.g.
Neartek, among others)3) We'll look at the costs of porting using these
tools and the costs of homesteading. The original invitation was posted
here on 5/9 (see below) & emailed to customers who are receiving HP
CustomerTimes.  =======================================================HP
support for the e3000 is scheduled to end in just three and a half years.
Since the beginning of 2002, HP has presented eight webcasts in the "e3000
Transition Series," during which we addressed many of the following
questions:

* Is it really possible to move from the e3000 to another platform?

* What tools are available to help with the transition?

* Has anybody actually done this before?

Customers have been using these webcasts to collect information, begin
planning, and find answers to their questions. But as is often the case, the
answers have raised new questions. Today, HP e3000 customers are asking us:

* What's the quickest and least expensive way to make the transition?

* Which tools will save me the most money?

* Can I save money simply by staying on the e3000?

On Thursday, May 22nd, HP will present the ninth webcast in the HP e3000
Transition series. The subject will be "HP e3000 Transitions: Controlling
Your Costs". In addition to answering these questions, we will briefly recap
some of the highlights of the recent Solution Symposium that was presented
by Interex. The 90 minute webcast will begin at 8:30 am (Pacific time) and
will include opportunities for you to ask questions of our presenters. This
program is available free of charge to HP e3000 customers.
