Fellow Listers,

Using contributions made to this list and some effort on my part I've put
together a command file that is used in our environment to mail selected
reports, as attachments, from our HP3000 to the user's desktop.

The problem that I've battling lately is related to the fact that the user's
mail client software applies some 'size' criterion against the 'attached'
reports and will display them 'in-line' with the message. When the report
exceeds that 'size' criterion it will appear as an attachment.

Does anyone know the correct MIME header that will 'force' the mail client
software on the user's desktop to 'always' present the report as an attachment?
I've also played around with 'Base64' and 'Uuencode' without
much luck.

The 'content' related MIME headers that I currently use are:
     Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; name="tracex1.txt"
     Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="tracex1.txt"
     Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit

Regards
Paul Christidis
