To help with the Life Expectancy story ... HP has a marketing piece which is
from April 1999, which shows the roadmap for the HP3000 out to 2002 with an
IA64 part in the roadmap arriving in 2002 ... I don't think you will find such
a roadmap for NT boxes (regardless of manufacturer).

There are people in the HP3000 (CSY) team who are working on making sure the
next generation of peripherals will plug and play with the HP3000. Dave Snow
gives a great presentation on this topic.

The part number for this marketing piece is 5968-5346E ... I would be pleased
to Snail Mail copies to anyone who needs one to help tell the roadmap story. I
am hoping that Christine Martino and Winston Prather will be providing an
updated version of this document with the February announcements.

I trust the new year will bring lots of opportunity to highlight the HP3000 in
business stories ... I know that our web & client-server contest is bringing
out some real great examples of the HP3000 as the server for "state-of-the-art"
- see our web site at www.MBFoster.com for details ...

Welcome to the Year 2000 ... what have you got planned???
