Did you check if HPTYPEAHEAD is enabled?

Apparently there is a problem with the combination of Reflection, NSVT,
HPTYPEAHEAD and block mode.

Try SETVAR HPTYPEAHEAD,FALSE prior to executing your block mode application
and see if that  fixes the problem.
