We wrote a small SPL program which read the soft font file and wrote it to
a spoolfile with carriage control %320 (no spacing). There may be other,
simpler ways to go it.

If you want the short program, I'll e-mail it to you. It compiles both
with SPL and with Splash!.

It has hard-coded names for the font file and for the printer device
class, however, a file equation will override it nicely.

It also takes a parm which delays the requested number of seconds before
creating the spoolfile, allowing time for the printer to warm-up and go
on-line if you have it load it once in the morning.

I can also e-mail you an attachment with the executable, however, you will
have to use file equations, instead of modifying the code and re-compiling
it.
