I had posted previously about anyone who had written a conversion program to
rename resource sharing files using VDROOT in MPE file space to their path
in HFS space so the files will be the same name and path under Samba. The
obvious conversion method is to copy the files off the 3k under resource
sharing and copy them back under Samba.
However, I have about 8 years of resource sharing backup tapes (every month)
that someone will want a file that is on one of those old tapes. My plan
would be to restore the old RS files to a dummy group and then rename them
into HFS space.
So, does anyone have the description of the information stored in VDROOT so
I can write this program without reverse engineering the VDROOT file.
