Hi all,
We have several reports that are generated from various
programs running VIEW. There is a request to have the reports printed
to the screen rather than to a printer, so the report data can be
reviewed/modified online before the hard copy is actually printed.
My question is, other than turning off VIEW formatting to
the screen, and writing the report directly to the user's screen rather
than on hard copy, are there any other options I can look at? NOTE:
Crystal Reports is out of the mix due to costing.
One big problem here is that the reports are also formatted
on the page (laser printers), so while I can format a screen to look
like the report, it may be tough for some product to read the PCL
formatting for a report and then, say, publish that report via a WEB
page?
TIA for any help
