Which brings up a point I was trying to make at HPWorld.

What prevents HP besides the obvious to add the fiber capabilities in a
patch for 7.0?

Too bad it doesn't take advantage of the native fiber capabilities...
that is one of the main reasons for going to 7.5

The XP128/XP1024 does provide native fiber either through
direct-connect or with Brocade or McData switches and has been
tested and certified on MPE/iX 7.5
