 The "training camp" if that's what it was, was found in the autonomous
Kurdish region
 in the North, where the Iraqi government hadn't been in power since 1991.

 Oh & I failed to tell the Wombat tale accurately. It should be
 "The Wombat - eats, roots and shoots".
 "Shoots", too, has a slang meaning in Australia.
