This would be an excellent beginning. But I'm afraid Jeff meant "trade
rags OUTSIDE of the installed base" (such as Fortune Magazine, Golf Digest,
Time Magazine, Newsweek, The Economist, and so on).

The spirit, I believe, should NOT be "us vs. them". The spirit should be
an objective analysis of the STRENGTHS of MPE (and its tightly-coupled
IMAGE/SQL, of course). These strengths are well known to the HP3000
installed base but are, unfortunately, unknown outside of the installed
base.

It's great to preach to the choir (I have been doing so for more than two
decades and I intend to continue). But Jeff's suggestion, I believe, has
to do with extending the preaching to as wide an audience as possible.
Could George help us put our collective foot in the door of some of these
"outside the installed base" publications? (Conceivably, he can do this
"outside research" in parallel with his HP Professional publishing of the
MPE material.)

Great publishing job, George!
